| How is it to live in a glasshouse, in a comfortable
house with low energy use, in a street where you know your neighbours
and you share a communal garden. How is it to live and work in an
international example of sustainable urban building where people from
New York to Japan come too see how it came to be. Also interested? Come and see on the 16th of June. The neighbourhood EVA-Lanxmeer in Culemborg, the Netherlands, an international example of sustainable living is having a festival. See and experience with your own eyes sustainable building, living and working in practice (C4REAL). During the day there are tours, open houses so you can meet with the residents. Be inspired about what is possible in sustainable building around the VIBA tent. Participate in a workshop or a dialogue, listen to a storyteller or play games in the verwondering tent, or see a presentation in the media tent. Around the tents you can enjoy some biological food or follow a sort course on organic gardening with permaculture principles or do a workshop in bamboo building. Also there is activities for children. They can participate in the spell school and other fun activities like yoga and dance and of course building the eco children's village. They can get the chance to play with the elements and learning how to build with willow, straw and clay. Sleeping overnight is possible in the specially designed car hotel or perhaps in your self made hut! Volunteers package Experience being in the neighbourhood for the weekend and be part of the team. We’re looking for volunteers to help the smooth running of the festival. You get free camping on the city farm and tickets for food for your help.
