THE CHALLENGE: EXPLAINING SUSTAINABILITY TISSUES SIMPLY

Explaining the sustainable nature of Tecawork Ecogreen fabrics in as simple and understandable a way as possible was the challenge given to C4Real. Ten Cate Protective Fabrics, which once began as a textile company in Nijverdal, also focuses on the production of sustainable fabrics for workwear. In plain language, Ten Cate Protective Fabrics makes fabrics from plastic and sustainable wood. These combined fabrics are then sent to its customers as fabrics for making work clothing. Clothing for car mechanics, fire fighters and health care personnel, among others. With the durability and quality label of Ten Cate Protective Fabrics. But how do you explain the sustainable nature of these fabrics simply and clearly to the target group? C4Real received this question and came up with the solution: a 2D explanation animation.

A 2D explainer animation offers the possibility to present a complex story clearly in image and sound with more limited budgets.

When C4Real got this case on their plate, they first decided to jointly write out the entire production process. In what steps is sustainability involved? How can this be represented? At the start of the concept phase, the story was still far too broad. It had to be transformed into a short, clear and logical story.

C4Real went to work by working out scripts, storyboards, styleframes and above all a lot of questions, consultations and sparring with the client. In a pleasant, constructive way, all lines were eventually merged into a powerful final product!

THE END RESULT

The end result is impressive. The animation is one big continuous flow that simply and clearly explains the sustainable life cycle nature of Tecawork Ecogreen's combined fabrics. The camera walks with you from the beginning to the end of the story. In the animation, extra attention was paid to the visual transitions and the use of moving icons from the TenCate icon library with which the USPs are indicated. The whole is provided with a specially composed loops audio line to give it something extra and unique. In addition, the 2D explanation animation was produced in 5 different languages (Dutch, English, German, French and Polish) with voice-overs in these languages.
